I was super pumped about the vinyl I scored, but once I got home—COUGH, COUGH—I started feeling awful and spent the next few days in bed, like a sick dog. Still not 100%, but I'm well enough to bring you some killer tracks today, ones you might have overlooked, and to shine a light on some incredible artists out there making waves in the music universe. 

Just like in episode #81, we’re keeping it simple and pure with sounds you might have heard before or perhaps new artists showcasing their talents. While I may not have explored every song she released, the ones I did hear were enough to instill a sense of healing within me, complemented by the support of a loving family and true friends. And so, without delay, I embark on a musical journey through the heart of Brazil, dedicated to honoring the profound impact Astrud has had on my life through her magnificent music.

As I traverse the melodies and rhythms of this enchanting country, I pay homage to the late Astrud Gilberto, whose legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of music lovers around the world. In order to assist you on that search of tranquility, these four tracks of Jazz will certainly guide you to greatness. Similar to the last episode on mental stability, we will focus on the spirit. 

Then came the perfect music genre to celebrate the 40th episode of the Overlooked Tracks Podcast and this time we’re celebrating the BOOM-BAP sounds of TRIP-HOP.  Trying to find a good way to describe this music genre because most websites I found all stated the same thing:  Trip-Hop is dead!!  Just like other music genres from previous episodes, music is not dead unless the world decides not to hear it anymore!!  Well, I found six music artists that says otherwise - Trip Hop is alive and thriving and a reemerged form of the music is here to demonstrate its power.  Thanks to the masters of Massive Attack, Portishead, Tricky and DJ Krush (just to name a few), displaying the maestros of sounds, lyric and beats of Trip Hop. 

After juggling for weeks on what to do with the selection, it was decided the best way to display this fine music genre is to give you a dab of what Blues Music is today – the foundation of great sound and give you again a portion on what Blues Music is heading.  If these picks are indication of the future of Blues Music, the music genre is in good hands. 

Once again, this selection is not a list of the greatest of all time, which is SO impossible to do and such a waste of time, but we’re just going to display a small sample of sound we believe you should get some interest in and see where the rabbit hole can take you.

Though it took some digging into the music crates in order to find the music tracks, but again like I stated in the last episode, I am glad I did and that makes it easy for you to simply listen and adore. 

We bring you a podcast to explore deeper into the world of music, a place where you can simply enjoy without outside influences to enjoy good music and the only influence you should have is from us – Overlooked Tracks, a source where you find music you might be overlooking.

We’re continuing this groove theory of music starting from the 28th episode of Funk, the 29th from some flaming Hip Hop and now the 30th with true rhythm, true soul, and true inspiring sound. 

A very small sample of a very energetic, very historic, very fun to listen, and very World-wide music genre of Rap & Hip Hop. Again, a hard mission to explore and pick and choose and this episode only touches the surface and hopefully, just hopefully you can have an enjoyable experience on exploring this kind of music without passing judgement, just like all of the rest of the music genres being played on this podcast.
